Do I need to back up my data?

In short, our multiple redudant backup and disaster recovery systems give you full peace of mind and protection. There is nothing you need to do on your end to ensure your safety. With multiple backups running in separate, isolated locations, there is virtually no chance of data loss.

However, at your discretion, there are some steps you can take to offer yourself an added level of protection should you be faced with an outage of your local internet connection (thus, preventing you from accessing our site).

These steps are somewhat tedious, but depending on how many events you have on the system, may only take you minutes to perform and might be worth it to do on a semi-regular basis.

First, log into your account and locate the Event Information section on the main page. Next, click on the "View/Print" link next to each form (on the request list, planning form, timeline, etc. pages). Last, perform a "save as" from your internet browser to save a local copy of the document to your computer. Simply repeat this process for each form. This will give you a saved, offline copy of each of your forms that you can revert to in the event of an emergency.
